why am I here?

now, and in the times to come (for many anyway!), I feel it's more important - than ever - to remember/learn/find/acknowledge, make and take time for, what fuels our souls. what brings us a sense of joy, peace, ease, hope, inspiration, calm, clarity, connection …even if fleeting …even if seemingly ‘small’. ...what keeps us looking towards and shining our own lights within ourselves and out into the world...

what helps us heal, learn and grow, break cycles, create, foster self-care and community care...what helps us live and love...

my name is Sonya (she/her), and I’m just someone exploring what it’s like being here in this realm, in this body, in this present time - which is sometimes very challenging ya’ll!!! …and/but …other times very beautiful!!! ...sometimes digging through the layers of life, finding what helps me acknowledge, feel, and let flow challenging thoughts, feelings and emotions...not suppressing them...allowing them, and/but, ideally not allowing them to take over - other times getting lost in the wonder of it ...staying curious, remaining hopeful and joyful as often as possible - while also understanding and holding space for these, for many, very, intense times of various uncertainties

what do i hope to do here?

in this space, I intend to share pieces of what has fueled my soul in the past, what’s fueling my soul in the present and what may fuel my soul for the future. …and to hear about what fuels your soul if you wish to share!! to explore that with you... this will also be a space to share my photography and photographic art. any/all images or video posted here come from my soul …to yours - unless credited to a different creator.

this is intended to be a welcoming, kind, compassionate, empathetic space for folks…everyone… including those from all lands, nations, sexualities, gender identities, folks of all body sizes, shapes and abilities, and across the vast spectrum of neurodiversity that all of us are a part of, all spiritualities…a special affinity, for me, are those called to, curious about, and/or interwoven with metaphysical/('para')normal/spiritual ways of being (because that will be a part of what you'll find here as well) - EVERYONE - as long as you come from a space and place of kindness, love and compassion for all beings, and a connection to, curiosity about, and/or openness to connection with spirit - that i believe, is always around us, helping guide and protect us through our various lessons and paths of life here in the 3d and beyond. that last piece isn't for everyone, and that's okay, not everything is nor needs to be...we all have our own paths to follow.

I consider myself a lifelong student, and teacher - and I think all folks are in their own ways over time - may we share, nurture and care …grow together …helping one another drop down and anchor strong roots of support, encouragement, compassion, and joy - to help grow a world where we can all shine our lights - with souls fueled by love, hope, joy, community care, self-care, healing, learning - for sure surviving - ideally, thriving...
